Chris conceived Chestnut Studios back in January 2005 having began his career as an accomplished pianist and brass player. With a love for music production and a background in both classical and pop music, Chris went on to study for a degree in Recording Arts.
Following this he worked at Hear No Evil, Sony Music Studios and the Hit Factory New York. Working on film scores including "Girl With A Pearl Earring" and "Finding Neverland" Chris then went on to work with a variety of pop artists including The Wanted, Lawson, The Saturdays, Rod Stewart, Liberty X, Mis-teeq, Texas, Lionel Richie and LL Cool J.
Now signed to Global as a full time writer/producer, he still actively ensures that Chestnut Studios continues to offer a fantastic creative environment as he envisaged.
Originally from Bournemouth, Josh moved up to London to join Chestnut Studios in 2012 after working as a full time engineer at Conversion Studios in Dorset.
Since his time here he has developed a fantastic relationship with our regular clients, and has racked up credits from working with diverse acts including Nervo, The Saturdays, Lindsey Stirling and Charlie Brown, along with many well known writers and producers.
With an extensive knowledge on working across a variety of recording platforms, he offers a very flexible workflow for our clients. Both a great recording and mixing engineer, his attention to detail with looking after our clients has made him very popular for sessions here.
